What is a leper anyway? In the past, it was simply a disease. As you caught this kind of disease you were isolated. Taken out of society, never to go back again.

Your daily life would never always be the same again. As time passed this disease certainly died out. Currently not many people have leprosy in its serious type. But all of us do have leprosy of the different type. This leprosy is a whole lot worse than the physical illness. It can be something that gets worse over time and will carry on and do so until we as human beings choose to change each of our actions.

Today, those who are distinct are thought to be lepers. These people needs to be rejected, shunned. They are strange, strange, we all cannot accept what they rely on. Why is this so? How come have we been brainwashed so completely by the mass media that we no longer see that being different is usually something we humans make in our brains. People are “different only because we label these to be like that. They are lepers, only because all of us make them so. What is too bad really regarding being a leper? Being several? This picture addresses these kinds of questions.

We can see that inside the image you will discover two strange looking animals who happen to be bleeding upon a side with a chicken’s head. This chicken’s mind is dripping in bloodstream while there is a small bar of cleansing soap at its foot. The only thing in colour is the blood which signifies which it symbolises a thing important. So he bathed in the bloodstream of the lepers. By this key phrase we understand that the beast in the middle may be the object which can be “bathing in the blood. Once again, why might anyone want to bathe inside the blood of leper? Well why not?

In cases like this the two odd looking creatures would be the lepers. If the lepers in this image represent those people who are different, it could also signify these people are really different that they can could be considered to be a subculture of some kind. It is understandable to believe that some subcultures are actually desired to some persons. This certainly depends on the person’s personal taste. They may want to be mixed up in subcultures of nerds, posers, emo’s, picture kids, goths, etc etc. The leper persona may not even be focusing on a particular sub tradition.

They can also represent the chameleons of society, changing themselves to appeal in people. Again, this kind of depends on the perspective. The leper persona only represents a chameleon of culture if you choose to assume that it does to persuade you to join the subculture that it is portraying itself to be. So why would people choose to believe that this? Simply to feel acknowledged. They may be so rejected that every they want and need is a feeling of belonging regardless if it is identified a way that is not entirely truthful or proper. Rather, it is an illusion.

So do we human beings warp precisely what is there to suit our circumstances and make certain situations more enjoyable to us? Definitely. This leads us to the need for the blood inside the image. The blood can be viewed as the initiation process. The blood, which can be the only colored thing in the symbolises this initiation procedure. This is the simply part of the image in color, because this procedure is the most important component to belonging to someone or a subculture. Bathing in the blood will be catching the leper’s disease, or otherwise, finally being a part of the lepers.

The impression of that belong settles in for the first time. Given that the person is actually a part of the lepers, can they think of themselves as lepers? They are now capable of understand and empathise together with the subculture they may have joined thus would it truly seem so different to them now? Not any it wouldn’t, further underlining the fact that individuals only ingredients label people as being different, of being social lepers, only because we do not understand all of them. However if we were a part of what they believe in, i. electronic. a part of their subculture, in that case we would no more think they may be so different.

Only a great outsider to this subculture could consider these to be lepers. Again, we humans label that which is not. We certainly have established what it takes to be distinct and how come it is important, but what about the line of detergent at the poultry hand creature’s feet? What would this symbolise? This symbolises the other perspective of this two sided debate of acceptance. The soap represents the cure for leprosy. The way to be washed from this disease. In the modern world this kind of soap club would symbolize the views of people who believe that removing yourself from a subculture is the true path to acceptance.

Yet , like the size of the detergent bar, these folks are very couple of because many of us have an innate need to participate in a community, world, club, tradition or subculture. In short, we all need to think that we are supposed to be somewhere, regardless of much of an illusion this feeling of that belong is. We all desire to be convinced to believe in something only to feel recognized and wanted by a community. This graphic drawn by the talented Alex Pardee displays us all these types of innate human desires in a way which persuades us to believe that we carry out have them. Of course this is achieved by this skilled artist with a great many visual techniques.

To start with the area from the image while using highest salience is the blood vessels because like we established, the blood ” which usually represents the initiation method ” is one of the most important areas of the process of that belong. The importance with this transition stage is further underlined by the fact that all of those other image is black and white hand sketches making the blood also the spot with the highest colour technique. When we appearance further in the image and analyse the finer information we notice that the background is non-contextualised, in fact , it is completely white.

This helps us to not stray from the main concept that the image is trying to provide. It maintains us focused on the downroad while likewise giving extra information on what might be taking place in the picture. This information is given to us in the textual content written at the very top. The downroad in question is definitely the chicken palm with the bloodstream being poured onto it. It is far from in fact the text. This is because the is in the middle and the full blood allures us to the image available. This graphic would become the center point again highlighting the important communication being given by the image.

The perspective that we begin to see the image also gives all of us a whole different view on the scene. We see the key subject (the chicken hand) in the anterior view. Seeing as the subject is the central part of the picture, it is safe to say that the whole graphic is seen in the frontal perspective. Yet , it is important to notice that we view the “lepers part on. This suggests to us that we are not section of the lepers, that we are separate from them, that in fact they are different from all of us. The look of the subject matter is challenging.

It is seeking straight in the audience like it really wants to get the message around. Its message that it wants to be involved and included. The lepers however do not have even eyes. This kind of suggests that they may have nothing they wish to communicate to the people and are not affected by what persons think of all of them. The image on the whole is in a low modality since it is already looking to communicate an elaborate message. Keeping it in simple drawings, the musician is making it easier for the audience to understand the message.

The artist uses all of these aesthetic techniques with one purpose in mind: to get the message throughout. The concept that getting different is definitely not a unfavorable thing. It is simply a way of feeling as if you belong. Like a leper does not mean everything can be lost. There will be a problems, but 1 ought to keep in mind that they have their God-given potentials in them. It’s the duty of society, to offer a supporting hand, for these “lepers to exhibit the actual have in them to globe. You see, is actually not all of them. It’s you.
