Zora Neale Hurston’s story “Sweat” is filled with meaning that includes depictions that are conveniently explained and some which require more thought. Hurston’s most recognizable mark throughout the short story is definitely the title, “Sweat. ” The girl depicts Delia as using a strong work ethic and the hardship she knowledgeable about making her relationship work.
