A View on Music and the Federal government
The censorship of music and other forms of entertainment by the government have long been the topic of debate among sociable and political circles. Some forms of censorship such as warning labels for the patients parents can be helpful. Nevertheless the censorship of music is not really right, plus the government is without right to do so. All too often the us government gets over a self righteous feeling and thinks that it must be it’s directly to control what happens in or perhaps out of the so called “free nation’s heads.
Censorship in music falls into one of the people categories where the American people and the American government, which can be supposed to be a representation from the people, have got extremely inconsistant ideas on the subject. The incident on the Woodstock ’99 Festival in rural New York is another attempted example of chaotic actions and violent music. On the last day of the festival the crowd was whipped in a frenzy burning cars and speakers and people dancing nude among the fire flames. Ironically, the band playing at the time was the Red Warm Chili Potatoes. Even more sarcastic is the fact that they can were doing a cover of Jimi Hendrix’s “Fire (Naylor). Five hundred huge range police had been called in. Later that evening, Limp Bizkit stirred the race fans into a much greater frenzy. The mob sooner or later destroyed the complete park. Again, one of using the first and most obvious scapegoat which can be found. The bottom line is that music does not trigger action. Music is thoughts, feelings, moods, attitudes, and ideas. Music is not a tool to affect the land and its actions, and there has been no decisive evidence in any other case.
