While I usually believed me personally to be reasonably educated about racial diversity, and non-prejudice against individuals who come from distinct ethnic backgrounds than my very own, this course features taught myself that there is considerably more to the background reality of Americas struggle to overcome the all too true problem that is prejudice and discrimination. I use learned much about my own background and history that I had not been previously aware of as well.

A brief history of Bias and elegance in America dates as far back as for the days of captivity. While to the majority of this is a well known fact, there are several facts about my own, personal ethnic record that were certainly not well-known to my opinion until I actually participated with this course. The fact that stands apart the most is that German immigrants (such as my very own grandparents) experienced a reality of segregation in schools and language barriers, not unlike that of today’s Mexican People in america. German People in america struggled to determine bi-lingual colleges because we were holding a growing population in America, plus the need was apparent.

Understanding this leads to a whole new perspective of my comprehension of just how similar we all actually are. Because trends in migrants have grown gradually and will always grow well into the future, by the year 2050, the U. S. human population will knowledge a culture of diversity so sophisticated, and so entirely wide spread; causing America having no choice but to unite, or suffer from mass self-destruction of the worst kind. The challenges of such a varied America will be apparent in lots of ways, and you will see some of the same issues of discrimination and prejudice that have always been.

With all the different ethnicities coming jointly, there will be unavoidable language boundaries, which will result in a continued concern of segregation among kids, and the added challenge of providing them with equal educational opportunities. In a similar manner that children have to encounter the issues of diversity, so do the adults that will face splendour and likely insufficient opportunity to move forward depending on their race. On the other hand, when faced with such diversity, America as a whole will be forced to acknowledge change, and maybe finally get over the issues which it has been faced with for such a long time. The opportunity will rise, with the variety of selection, to become educated about those people who are around us.

Because there will be nothing else to complete but discover a way to come together, or to fail as region, I think the way that people all discover one another is likely to change substantially. The idea that others are substandard in any way to any other person will begin to lose colour, because with the much variety all around, there will not become a majority, neither a minority. Perhaps equal rights in racial group quantities will finally be the important thing to uncover the door into a prejudice-free America.
