In the film Ethnic Thoughts and Birth of a Land racism can be clearly present. Both motion pictures show the depiction of blacks in the eye of white colored Americans. Once a law was handed that built whites praise black officers on the roadways, and mixte marriages between blacks and whites made the whites seem to be a reliant minority. This is when a group of guys covered in sheets and white hats fought the blacks. When the hooded light men beat the blacks they were looked at as the defenders in the white ladies, honor, and glory. These men were praised when they restored order and their white superiority. This is where it Birth of a Nation originates from along with the birth of the Ku Klux Klan.

Quite a few films show many misrepresentations of Africa Americans. In Birth of a Nation the Mammy can be shown with blackface enjoyed by a white actress. In films the role from the Mammy was a servant that was stereotypically a very darker and large set girl that had her focus set to undertaking whatever her master or perhaps mistress wanted. Mammy was shown being a loyal individual that was protecting over the white household. She was a powerful person which in turn became a well balanced figure in every single image of the south. The Mammy is extremely alike the Coon, however the Mammy can be shown to be totally 3rd party and asexuado. All through Ethnic Symbole the Mammy and the Coon were shown as humorous and entertaining.
