These men were praised when they restored order and their white superiority. This is where it Birth of a Nation originates from along with the birth of the Ku Klux Klan.

Quite a few films show many misrepresentations of Africa Americans. In Birth of a Nation the Mammy can be shown with blackface enjoyed by a white actress. In films the role from the Mammy was a servant that was stereotypically a very darker and large set girl that had her focus set to undertaking whatever her master or perhaps mistress wanted. Mammy was shown being a loyal individual that was protecting over the white household. She was a powerful person which in turn became a well balanced figure in every single image of the south.
