During week one particular, my first definition of learning was listening to an teaching, studying then rehearsing that information in my mind, or categorizing it in such a way so I can remember the majority of what was taught in the course. The class has exposed a new dimensions for me inside the learning procedure; from focusing on how I process information to deciphering which usually learning procedures I use in intentional learning or metacognition.
Understanding my learning patterns form energetic learning marriage is a key factor to my personal view showing how and how come I process the learning experience, even relating it to every day your life. Since finding my learning patterns by administering the training Connections Inventory or LCI assessment, I have discovered my aptitude for employing Sequence (20), Precision (23), Technical Thinking (35) and Confluence (29) learning patterns. My use first patterns of Technical Reasoning and Confluence are self-evident and shed light on so why my career took the path it performed, leading me to this point anytime.
Confronting each task as a Dynamic Novice, I unconsciously used my Technical Reasoning and Confluence learning habits first and since needed used my Finely-detailed and Continuous learning habits. Throughout my career inside the Navy, Technical Reasoning was pronounced which led me personally to choosing a mechanical control; then inside the construction market, using my personal hands as a carpenter to resume or erect buildings. Continuous and Accurate patterns were used on an as necessary basis when specific jobs required a structured approach like developing models or mending equipment.
Throughout this course, several quizzes got Sequential learning to complete. I came across it difficult to use this routine and my strong Technical Reasoning style was noticeable by my personal moving from question to question merely did not instantly know the answer; then returning to answer the questions I actually skipped applying Precision learning pattern. Studying assignments had been a struggle too; I was accustomed to using Technological Reasoning, in brief reading through the chapter to pick out phrases That i knew were crucial.
The important reading process drew myself back to principles by manipulating my use of Sequence and Precision learning patterns to be the predominant patterns utilized. Sequence learning pattern was needed in the completion of discussions; I needed to focus, not simply on discussion posts but doing all my job and submitting it on time. Having excessive technical thinking and confluence learning patterns are what shaped decisions and traits in this school; procrastinating and being past due with tasks started early on in the course. Learning to FIT my own patterns jointly is a new concept which was difficult to present not only in my own college study course but in my own daily life too.
Forging, Modern or Tethering my learning patterns really are a continual activity and now that I’ve begun to understand how to decode a task, it will enable myself to recognize the learning patterns to work with, strengthen and minimize. This course was extremely interesting to me; learning about the 4 different learning patterns, how they influence college coursework and my career path. I treasured looking at the inter-working showing how I master and what I can do to enhance my personal learning features.
