Homesickness

Range and Limits

The study is focused around the determination of knowing the possible effects of homesickness to the academics performances of Grade 14 Humanities and Social Sciences students of SLU-LSHS. The study process is performed at Saint John University – Laboratory Senior High School located by Navy Basic, City of Baguio, Province of Benguet.

The analysts concentrated about Saint John University Lab Senior High School students specifically Grade 11 eliminating other grade levels. Its’ scope is usually within the Humanities and Interpersonal Sciences Educational Track learners eliminating other academic tracks such as Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM) Academic Track students and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Educational Track learners.

According to Crouch McKenzie (2006), less than twenty participants within a qualitative examine helps a researcher build and maintain a close relationship and so improve the “open” and “frank” exchange of information. On the other hand, in respect to Guests, Bunce, and Johnson (2006), it needs particularly 12 individuals. The researchers have decided to have 12 individuals for your research study, precisely the same how Customer et. approach. (2006) suggested it and which is also the 10% from the total human population of Level 11 HUMMS students of SLU-LHS. SLU-LHS Level 11 HUMMS track provides a total human population of 116 students divided into 3 portions, HUMMS A (Mapagmalasakit) with 39 pupils, HUMMS W (-) with 39 students and HUMMS C (Matiyaga) wih 38 students.

The participants are honor students (from Baguio City), honor student (not coming from Baguio City), Top 10 learners in their school, regular student (from Baguio) and standard student (not from Baguio). The research will exclude themselves as interviewees for this research study for it to get bias-free and uncontrollable by the researchers. Through this, the researchers will know if there are effects of homesickness to the educational performance of Grade eleven HUMMS pupils.

To gain information and data, the researchers will use the process of interview to the individuals disregarding additional methods just like expert views and many more. The interview will be guided by following group of questions made by the research workers that can probably give info and info for the research. The interview will be sound recorded by researchers and will use the transcribing process.

Although this kind of research was carefully ready, the researchers are still mindful of its inevitable limitations and shortcomings. The possible limitation for the medial side of the experts may be the rejected or limited access with the researchers for the respondents since the respondents will not be available or has something to do if the time of interview may come. The researchers will not be able to control the availability of the respondents. Another conceivable limitation to get the researchers is the the perfect time to complete your research study seeing that there is just a limited span/due date directed at complete the study study. The data gathered in the respondents is usually a limitation owing to the simple fact that it is from your respondents’ personal experiences and encounters are not controllable by the researchers. There is no way that the researchers may control the data gathered given that the research must not be in any way falsified for it to have an honest and great result in the end.
