Indentured maids were a fundamental element of the early groupe. They provided a means to aid the farmer’s in providing labor to create an abundance of crops such as tobacco, rice and indigo. Although, the job proved harsh, that provided an opportunity for frustrated European’s to begin a new existence in the Unites states.
