Satisfy Percy Knutson. He is twelve years old, and he makes a decision to tell all of us the story of his past year. For the first day of summer time, just after his sixth-grade year, Percy understands that something is wrong with him. To be more exact, something is proper with him. He understands that he’s a half-blood: half-human, half-god. He is delivered to Camp Half-Blood in Ny, a camp for kids the same as him that is safe from creatures that like to attack half-bloods. At camp, Percy learns more information about himself: his father can be Poseidon, goodness of the Ocean and close friend to Zeus and Hades. When Zeus’s master sl? (the thing that allows him to create super whenever he wants) can be stolen, Poseidon is blamed for the theft. Zeus tells Poseidon that the master bolt has to be returned to Mount Olympus by the summer time solstice, if not he will file war on Poseidon. Poseidon is usually miffed that his sibling Zeus even would accuse him of such a issue.

Percy sets out over a quest to access Zeus’s learn bolt, which can be believed to be in Hades’s captivity in the Underworld. Helping Percy are Grover, his BFF, and Annabeth, a smart demi-goddess and girl of Athena. Ares has become tempted by the possibility of sparking one of the biggest wars of all time between your Big 3: Hades, Zeus, and Poseidon. Percy and Ares challenge it out within the beach, and Percy wounds Ares, successful the sturzhelm of darkness. Ares curses Percy. That summertime at Camp Half-Blood, Percy has a great time living the life span of a leading man. He procrastinates making a decision regarding whether he will stay for Camp Half-Blood year round, or perhaps whether he can go home and live with his mom in Queens. For the last day time of camp, Percy can be lured in the woods by his good friend, Luke. Luke confesses to Percy that he was the initial thief of the master sl? and the sturzhelm of night. He explains to Percy that he serves Kronos which Kronos is usually planning to wipe out the Olympians and eliminate. Luke vanishes, leaving a deadly scorpion to sting Percy.
