Students Professional work experience scheme (SIWES) was established by ITF (Industrial Training Fund) in 1973 to resolve the problem of lack of sufficient practical skills required for job in companies by Nigerian graduates of tertiary organizations. SIWES can be an exercise made for students of degree to enable them practice those ideas they have learnt theoretically in the lecture. It also helps you to expose learners to the utilization of certain industrial equipment. COMPANY DESCRIPTION

INTRODUCTION TO THE WORKSHOP:

It makes the learners not only experienced but also quick with the hands and minds. This, at the end of all these, will mean better trained members in the mechanical executive society.

Mechanical Engineering, in fact , is a practical course. With the situation of the country with respect to education, I would say that with no SIWES, participants of mechanical engineering will really be lacking when it

comes to rehearsing the program in the actual.

CONCLUSION/RECOMMENDATION

All in all, the experience was a extremely wonderful 1. I developed a good working relationship with all the staff and my manager as I got learned via my two hundred level industrial training and i also also had a wonderful time putting precisely what is learned inside the classrooms into practice.
