Our job is upon gaining market share in the field of Postpaid Division & Data Services (GPRS & 3G) and the proper decisions involved in it. The division that we will be working on is definitely the Direct & DST-Postpaid split. We have Mr.
Anil Dasjenige (Head-postpaid and 3G providers for Rcom Odisha) coaching us with this project. The initial idea is to explore the scope on this project via various sides and assess the decisions taken by RCom to achieve their ideal market share. We all found out that globalisation has turned telecommunication an integral part of the facilities of the American indian economy.
The telecom sector in India has developed resulting from this. The telecom sector experienced a rapid growth over the past decade due to regulatory liberalisation, structural reforms and competition, making telecom one of the major catalysts in India’s growth history. Much of this kind of growth may be attributed to the expansion in mobile telephony (number of mobile phone subscribers grew from 10 million in 2002 to 392 million in 2009) and the expansion in the service and THIS and ITeS sector. Telecommunications has appeared as a key factor for economical and client growth.
The contribution of the sector to GDP keeps growing (more than doubled). Telecom is one of the fastest-growing industries in India (on an average 8 million wi-fi subscribers happen to be added every month)
