The first article entitle “The Summoning by Fouad Ajami begins using a quote coming from Marlowe that emphasizes that all civilization continues to be affected by european ideas and thought. Ajami sums up his essay with an age-old philosophy of self-help and self-interest. I realize this article as a welcomed substitute for the pretty depressing universe that Huntington has prescribed for us.
